I just read this interesting article. Christopher Foyle has some responsibility for this, I am sure. :foylekiss:

Very interesting!

Thanks for posting.

Some words were used long ago. I watch the 1970s show "Emergency," about the beginning of the paramedic program in Los Angeles, and the fire captain sometimes used the word"twit." Love hearing that! :D
Just looked over the chapter on "Horse Racing and Illegal Rambling."

I haven't got the requisite capacity for deceit.

"English as she is spoke" I was surprised at some of the words tagged as Britishisms - trendy, metrosexual - really? Thanks for sharing, Kitchenwonder.
But, what does the brain matter....compared to the heart?
