Having a nice quiet afternoon watching my two very favourite actors - MK and John Thaw, together in Inspector Morse.

A few images to share

Great images, Ke. Ta, muchly!

I'm impressed by such low resolutions producing such good picture quality at these dimensions. May I ask what software you use to take caps?

And have you seen Alibi yet? Hint, hint ...

Thanks Lynn,

I just do a print screen then crop in Paint Shop Pro. Is there any specialist software out there for screen caps?

Alibi, started it the other day but had to go out. may do that one this weekend.

Hope I'm not bombarding the board with posts too much.

I think the usual method of capping would be to use the capture facility (usually a little camera icon) on whatever media player you're using to play the DVD, e.g. PowerDVD. Depending on the chosen settings, cropping may not be necessary when doing it that way. It's probably a touch easier than going the screen cap route, but you obviously get excellent results doing it your way - your images are a lovely size dimension-wise but aren't big files (big image files being, of course, something board admins want to avoid, because they slow down the loading of the forum pages). With what are you playing your DVDs? And are you on a Mac or PC?

There's often a tendency to bombard the board with posts when we first join the family of the forum; we've found new friends and it's great fun to share our love of The Man. Don't worry, it'll slow down after a while.

ETA: I really do have to thank you for this, Ke ... Your caps have made me remember that I've got the great little freeware VLC player on my PC, and I've just taken some caps using the "Take Snapshot" facility on that. Great results with low file sizes! And no need to import into something like Photoshop to tidy up. Don't know why I haven't tried capping with it before. Ta, muchly x 2, kidda!

All noted - sorry, I do tend to get rather excited where MK involved - put it down to my age!

It was on YT not a DVD, so as I don't know how to download YT videos (or even if I can) that was my only option - Print Screen/PSP.

Relying on YT for my 'fix' at the moment as funds very tight.

Screen shots from vids on YT? Then I'm even more impressed! :D

Oops, sorry Sunshine - you'll have to forgive me, I'm a mere newbie - I will put appropriate alerts on future posts lol.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed them?

Had we noticed this blog post from January? It didn't come up on a search of the forum. My apologies if it's already been posted.
The blogger known as Den of Geek lists the top ten Inspector Morse episodes, and the first is Death of the Self, of course. :pleased:

Great feature! Thanks Lesley!

I've become such a fan of all three programs in the Morse/Lewis universe! :cloud9:
