Series 8 airs in Oz

Only in the forty-degree heat of an Australian summer could one imagine viewers pining for a cold, grey, post-war London (Dublin). Unless, of course...
:foylesuit:

Oz now gets its chance, as S8 is about to be broadcast on free-to-air. My friend Doris in Perth will be delighted.

Article is brief, but notable for the following:

:foyle5: Foyle described as "debonair but modest".
Quite right too. Nnnot sure about the 'but'.

:samkiss: Faux-naïf stoking of flames: "Now, what of Sam (Honeysuckle Weeks), his former police driver? Wasn't there a suggestion that Foyle had romantic inclinations towards her? "
Nnnot in canon. Been reading the fic, have you?

:geek: Incorrect attribution of Inspector Morse to Mr Horowitz.
    ...or did I miss something?

Roll on Sunday evening in the antipodes.

Starlight :rose:
Do I need to remind you...how much you can trust me?

Thanks for sharing, Starlight. I have a few friends who will be delighted too! Yes, as far as I know, AH didn't write for Inspector Morse - though our man is in one episode.
In regards to the "romantic inclinations" - well I'm glad it's not just us!

Bookworm Kate - every time I read your signature line from Out of Africa it makes me smile. I imagine a totally different ending to Karen's tale, starting with Berkeley saying "You could do with a good chap then."
But, what does the brain matter....compared to the heart?

Whee! That is delightful! Why didn't she see he was the better choice?!

Haha, thanks Kitchentease! It is a favourite film, and I also like line where Karen says to her husband of only a few hours, "When you leave me, I'm going to marry Berkeley Cole" - if only she had...could have done with a good chap, indeed!
I do enjoy Robert Redford's acting very much, but my eyes are always draw back to MK as Berkeley Cole in this film. It was the beginning of long interest in his acting...
