LA Times - A few good men

Postby Jillybean » Fri Jan 17, 2014 4:07 pm

Found this on Cass4136 tumblr (nice find  )

TV needs a few good men

"This article in the LA Times includes DCS Christopher Foyle among TV’s few good men. He is “always the most powerful man in the room. Men admire and women swoon for a short, soft-spoken retirement-age detective…” Who could argue with that?"

Great article unlike the one I wasted my time with the other day: Fifty hottest stars over 50.
MK was not on it--so not worth the time I spent reading it...

Mmm. Very nice article. Could've been a lot shorter though, I felt.

About 5ft 7. :D
Do I need to remind you...how much you can trust me?

I like the statement, "Christopher Foyle is always the most powerful man in the room." Just what we have been saying for years with regard to Mr. K.
As always,

My favorite line, too. No matter how tall or powerful everyone else is, he always commands attention.

I'm putting parts of this article on my FB. Wonder if anyone will know Mr. Kitchen!

"A widower with a grown son, Foyle has a young female driver, and there is never a moment of romantic, much less sexual, possibility."

Well ... there have been possible moments, but it is only us who read into them and take it the whole hog.

Really nice article, and love the bit about being the most powerful man in the room too. Very aptly put.
Thanks for sharing this link, Jilly!

Amen! :foyle1: Great find, Jilly! :D
Just looked over the chapter on "Horse Racing and Illegal Rambling."

" He says little, in fact, for a lead player, saving his speeches for when he brings the hammer down"

Yep. That's Our Man! :foyle4:

Thanks, Jilly! Brilliant article.
