Yes! Finally a (short) preview-video of Hacks with MK. And there shouldn't be any geographical limitations either. He looks great

He looks soooo good. So much better than the still pictures!

To me, his accent sounds the same as in the Pern videos. Wonder if that's his natural accent.

Yep, the hair is nice and close-cropped. He looks great! Wonder if Stanhope ever smiles...

Great find, Bee. Well done! :samkiss: (We're going to have to give you a DCS title or something for all the video finds! :foyle1: )

I think MK's natural accent is probably in the interview he did for "The Last Contract." He seems very soft-spoken there, too......and likes to laugh.

It looks like they're also lampooning Wendi Murdoch's defense against the pie-thrower in that later scene in the clip. Here, Stanhope's wife looks like Lucy Liu......
Just looked over the chapter on "Horse Racing and Illegal Rambling."

Here's a review (no spoiler issues, unless someone hasn't been following the real-life saga :toetap: )

Thanks, Amiga. I'll repost the link you posted, because it was cut-and-paste for me:

Interesting photo.........Stanhope looks much more engaged (and engaging! ) than Murdoch did at the hearing!

"Ho Chi Mao Feast"? That seems a bit much - until you read Wendi Deng's history on Wikipedia, then it seems about right!
I'm hoping this will indeed be funny, but there are some aspects to the real story it is based on that simply aren't laughable. They'll have to do a very good job of it!

I'm with you English fan. MK trumps everything,!! . My family is "tolerantly bemused "at my "obscession" with MK and one of my chanukah gifts was a pre-paid order for Hacks. On the previous forum when I complained (or maybe whined) about having a few region 2 dvds which I could not play, somebody posted that I should look into a multi-regional player. Tech- deficient me did not even know they existed!! I found one reasonably priced at Amazon and it was the best gift ever.!! A side benefit of belonging to the forum!! Some of you in the US should look into it. Amazon Uk and E-bay UK are actually less expensive and sometimes deliver faster than the US. There are some bargains, also. Be well, everybody. Happy , healthy and peaceful 2012!!

Bee...I like the idea of a DVD player that can play the English shows. Where to put another DVD player.....! Maybe in my sewing room so it's mine only! Actually Mr. Kitchen has done lots of sewing with me via other movies so this could be a plan. Why is it that I rip out more freshly sewn seams and start over when I'm watching his movies and sewing?

LOL

It works the same way with my knitting. I've learned to knit when other actors are on the screen and put it down when Mr. Kitchen is on.

Thanks for the links, Bee! MK is looking good ( I second ayresorchids comment about the close cropped hair!). Will be neat to see him in a comedic piece. Quite a few familiar faces too!

I also agree with the close-cropped hair. Could have left a few curls in the back though!

Can't wait to see him in a real comedic role. He's been making non-comedic roles funny all along.
