Rhys Thomas developing script for MK & Christopher Eccelston

As you may have seen on Tumblr:

Michael Kitchen as one bloke in a group of divorced men living in a caravan park!

In Canada we had a series called Trailer Park Boys, featuring a diverse mob of underachievers and petty criminals, always hatching get-rich-quick schemes. It never appealed to me but I understand it had quite a following.

Now, add Michael Kitchen to the mix, and that changes everything!

MK grubby and unshaven...wonder if he'll ditch the received pronunciation and return to his Leicestershire accent too?

I think Mr. K has finally found his comedy writer. I suspect Rhys gives him the leeway he requires and is receptive to his input.

Looking forward to seeing who else he casts. Not a big fan of TV comedies, but just seeing MK on screen again is something to look forward to.

Just a reminder not to hold our breaths, folks. Writing a script is one thing; getting it commissioned for producton and screening by such as the BBC is quite another. It's a case of wait and see.

Of course you're right, Lynnedean, but on gloomy days like these, it's nice to have something to hope for.
