History documentary: PQ 17: An Arctic Convoy Disaster

Jeremy Clarkson tells the story of the Arctic convoys of the Second World War, revealing the terrible hazards faced by the Merchant and Royal Navy sailors who delivered vital war supplies to the Soviet Union via this treacherous route. Accompanied by first hand testimony from those who served on the convoy, Clarkson retraces the voyage of convoy PQ17, a joint Anglo-American convoy which would become one of the biggest naval disasters of the 20th century.
