I'm thoroughly enjoying this series of 8 police procedurals independently published on Amazon by the author. The protagonist reminds me so much of Foyle. He's a small man, uncompromisingly moral, who sometimes chews his cheek and never fails to hold his superiors to account - sometimes at significant personal cost. He's a widower too, who loved his wife dearly. If anyone still pops into the forum looking for something to read, do give these a try.
But, what does the brain matter....compared to the heart?
