For a few years, I enjoyed getting news stories through a news aggregator called Zite. I could create categories in which I wanted stories (for example, I had knitting, crochet, embroidery, WWII, hockey, Chicago Blackhawks, coffee, etc.), and you could "like" or "dislike" articles to "train" Zite to proivide you with articles you might like. Zite was taken over about a year ago by a similar app called Flipboard, which has similar features, but is a bit less user friendly (all that flipping), and which doesn't seem to be updated as much.

Anyone use an app (iPhone and iPad compatible) that they could recommend? Or recommendations as to how I could use Flipboard more effectively so I'd like it better?
