Eleanor Bron

Just found this 1993 interview with Eleanor Bron, and she seems very much like the character she played in The Russian House. Very interesting details about her childhood, too.

Here's a rare interview with Eleanor on YT, on aging, for Age UK:

And a short YT clip from Doctor Who, with John Cleese!

Thanks for this Lesley. She seems to be a gentle, pensive soul. The Age UK video particularly struck home with me. She spoke very wisely, with immense insight, I thought.
Do I need to remind you...how much you can trust me?

Thank you Lesley.

Just found out about the Beatles connection, since the museum where I work is hosting a Beatles exhibit.

I've also seen her playing an American in the entertaining Audrey Hepburn-Albert Finney movie "Two for the Road."
Just looked over the chapter on "Horse Racing and Illegal Rambling."

I haven't got the requisite capacity for deceit.

Her comment about needing imagination as we age really struck a chord. I watch my mother (and myself) becoming more rigid in our views as the years go by. I hope my memory won't let me down and her wise words will stay with me.

Ms. Bron has a role in an upcoming short drama film called Lady M, starring Samantha Bond! Lady M being Lady MacBeth. A mostly female cast, which is nice to see! Also written, produced and directed by women.

This sounds good:
"But one should never underestimate the spirit of the play to conjure black magic, to summon mishaps and mischief, nor the power of a formidable older woman to get what she wants."
