AHwz writing new cop series for BBC

I saw the first episode last night but had a hard job sticking with it. In interviews, Anthony Horowitz was at pains to point out that his new series would be a TV cop show with a difference, it being about the investigation of fraud rather than murder. Well, the Fraud Squad was involved, but the body count started before the opening credits rolled, so it was actually just a case of 'here we go again'. I was very irritated by the old trope of unreasonably hostile senior officers being trotted out for the umpteenth time, and the pounding music on the soundtrack drove me crackers from the off. I don't know if I'll bother watching any more episodes. Sorry, Mr H!

I managed to stick it out until the end, but will not be watching again.
I was bored, and the characters didn't appeal to me at all. I agree with
Lynne about the intrusive and annoying music on the soundtrack.
This series is definitely not for me.

I agree. Watched all three, but won't be going back for more. Did not enjoy the p***ing contest between the two leads, senior officer was obnoxious and dirty looking and the music was distracting. Story line would have been OK, maybe with a whole new cast. Sorry AH.

I managed to get through the whole series but while I was intrigued at the first twenty minutes or so of ep one I was really disappointed when it turned to slap-stick. Ep two onwards was a chore. Now we know why it went straight to iview. Is that the modern equivalent of straight to video? :foyle4:
