Here's an article about it in the Daily Mail online ... TV detective's home goes on the market

It's odd that it says the house has been in the same family for over a hundred years. I'm sure that a magazine article about it being up for sale was posted on one of the previous message boards. Must be the case that no one bought it then.

If you look the house up on 'Rightmove', there are 20 pictures to view, as well as a floor plan to all four floors. :cloud9:

Don't know about you, but I never seem to have £800,000 lying around when I need it

I bet they get a few time-wasters who just want a guided tour of Foyle's house

Well, have to admit that if I were in the area, I might just be one of those "time-wasters"! :whistling:

Real Estate agents (Estate Agents in the UK) call them "looky-loos." People who come for a tour but have no intention of making an offer.
Well, I'm just a tad short of £800,000 myself, unfortunately.

I was in Hastings last week and went to the house. No idea if sale has happened but no realtor signs on view. Stood there drooling a little. As many probably know, the "first" part of Hastings is full of chip shops, casinos etc. , not very attractive. The lovely part where house is comes after as you climb a little. :wavehello:

It's still listed for sale here. 20 good inside shots. :pleased:

We wish!! :obsessed:

Typical with older properties though - nowhere to park. I'd love such a huge quirky house though...

We could buy it and use it as a gathering place for all "Kitchenettes"! Imagine the "Foyle's War" parties we could host there! :-P

Brilliant idea!! Truly inspired. Get it going and I will contribute my share. I'll even cook although the British cooker has never inspired confidence from this Yankee.
