BBC Article on Crime during WWII

It's quite comprehensive, and mentions many of the sorts of crimes that feature in Foyle's War episodes. I thought the author had got hold of Horowitz's research files, actually!
I imagine the only reason the author doesn't mention FW, an ITV program, is because he's writing for the BBC, and the two broadcasters are rivals.

Interesting that nobody actually got hanged for looting. I find that a bit of a relief. But it was still good to watch Foyle scaring the sugar out of that smug AFS chappie.
