Oh yes, that scene where Churchill is on the phone, begging Roosevelt for the ships! I forgot about that scene.

Just watched Darkest Hour last night and like others immediately thought of White Feather. Need a repeat viewing!

We're moving into a new house, and it has a walk in pantry. The first time I walked in and turned on the light, I thought of Andrew walking into the larder in Eagle Day.

Haha, that’s great Samfam! I always think of Foyle’s War when drawing the curtains at night. Happy house moving!

When I am on the phone and am writing something down, I think of Foyle on the phone in The German Woman, writing something down while talking to a colleague about checking into her background. I can just see him at his desk.

“Greta....Anna....HAUPTMANN....” Foyle says to his friend at Whitehall on the phone. Which leads to the information that she had brothers in the Luftwaffe! :foyle4:

Thanks Lesley! I knew he said something about a Hauptmann.

While filling out paperwork for a job today, I had to give the manager my passport and social security card. I thought of ration cards and identification papers.
