Very put off by the title, but I did peek and really enjoyed the photos/captions. So glad that my curiosity won out!

Sorry, bee, the immaturity displayed by the blogger's choice of title stopped me dead. Folk may think me a fuddy-duddy, but I just can't bring myself to give any attention to something headed in that way.

I don't quite understand why someone who has the good taste to appreciate MK would choose such language to use in the title :puzzled:

I think it probably can be chalked up to youthful exuberance. I've always enjoyed checking the YouTube comments about clips of Fred Astaire dancing, and though it may seem odd to you, I'm rather happy to see profanely enthusiastic slang expressions of admiration for him, because it means young people have discovered him and find him cool.

So to me it indicates Mr K's appeal to a younger set, hence his timelessness.

I agree. While not the most tasteful way of expressing herself, I will also chalk it up to youth. I am always amazed by all of the younger fans Mr. K has. I am closer to his age so the appeal is a natural one, and I love seeing that his appeal spans all ages.

That's interesting, can we maybe set up a poll or something to see what age the members of this forum are? :geek:

LOL...

I'm 51, and became obsessed around the time of my 50th birthday. (When I saw Out of Africa I was 24. Yes, I am still angry at myself for not getting a clue sooner!)

Not sure when it happened, but I'm over 51 :eyeroll: When I saw Out of Africa my eyes were on Robert Redford for sure. How great it would have been to discover MK back then. Interesting to see how MK has aged so much better than RR. All those wasted years

Haha, Hazeleyes, I meant one of those polls where you can vote ANONYMOUSLY, just so that we can see the age range, without anyone having to...lie about their age. :D

I also became enamored of MK around my 50th birthday and next month I begin my eighth decade. I have a feeling that most MK fans fall in the age bracket between our two ages. June

Me too! (Summer of 43? ) I confess, though......I'd never heard of him until I became a Foyle's War fan  . Then, I started discovering everything else in a hurry. :D

Well, I'm just a bit younger that MK himself (and just a bit shorter, too!). It was Enchanted April, which I stumbled upon not too long after it was released, that caught my eye. So I first encountered him as dear Mr. Briggs, and not as one of the several rather nasty villians he has played over the years (and he does those so well).

:foylekiss: Foyle's War had me hook, line and sinker from the start, of course, but I also enjoy him in his more dasterdly guises because he adds so much nuance to every role he plays.
