Sad to report that Tim Pigott-Smith has passed away at age 70.

Oh dear. No great age to go, is it? I've just been watching him in "Decline and Fall", and actually, I didn't think he looked well. He was quite the villain as Merrick in "Jewel in the Crown" all those years ago.
Do I need to remind you...how much you can trust me?

I had randomly watched the Russian House last week and thought what a great actor he was. Enjoyed watching him and CF go at each other. He will be missed.

Oh no! This is very sad. I was looking forward to seeing him as King Charles III on PBS in May. Still looking forward to it, but it will be melancholy knowing he is no longer with us.

My sympathies go out to his family, particularly as it seems his death was unexpected. As Lesley so aptly put it, watching King Charles III will be a melancholy experience.
But, what does the brain matter....compared to the heart?
