MK's birthday

MK's birthday

Postby marigold » Fri Oct 23, 2015 1:11 am

As everyone here probably knows, it's October 31. In the US, it's Halloween with stores selling costumes, candy and every other orange-and-black thing they can come up with. It's said to be the most profitable retail holiday of the year (never understood that but maybe markups are higher?)

That aside, feel the need for MK tribute, not that he's going to know (or care) that I do. What have others out there done in years past? (pant, pant.) :foyle5:

To answer Marigold's question, in 2013 we did a Drabble writing challenge in honour of MK's 65th birthday. You can find the submissions in the FW FanFic on page 7 (or seven pages back from the most recent posts, if you have your settings the other way). There are some lovely ones!

Anyone/everyone is very welcome to post more birthday related stories and poems! Or images, or links to videos!

That's fine for the board, but do please note, however, that it is not advisable to post yourself directly to Michael Kitchen. I tried it once, but when the Postie tried to shove me through the letterbox, I got jammed half way and The Man sent for the blinkin' police! :-?

Thanks, Lynne. Guess I should remove the "air mail" sticker on my forehead. At least it would get his attention. Not that I'd fit in the letterbox!

Hey, it's been done, and with success.
Try this, Lynne:

(MK would just have to accept the crate, contents unknown. )

(Incidentally, there is a lovely picture book about this bit of history, called Henry's Freedom Box, but that's quite off-topic.)
